Pulled Pork

So if you've watched Man V Food you'll have seen pulled pork a lot. Me and my friend were craving it massively even though we've never tried it. So after a little inspiration from online I created my own pulled pork recipe. The following ingredients are what I used:

  • 600g joint of pork shoulder,
  • Rajah all purpose seasoning,
  • 2 red onions,
  • 1 courgette,
  • BBQ sauce.
  1. Score the meat so the seasoning can get deep into it, if you have time leave the meat to marinade but tbh it still tastes good without.
  2. Chop 2 onions, a courgette and add to the base of a roasting tin.
  3. Add your meat, covering it in seasoning.
  4. Add water, doesn't need to be exact, I'd guess I added 300ml?
  5. Add some BBQ sauce to the seasoned veg/water mix.
  6. Cover with tin foil.
  7. Cook for 2 hours at 160/170 degrees celsius depending on your oven (Fan assisted or not)
  8. Enjoy with BBQ sauce and a nice burger bun!
Save the stock! It's delicious! Think I'mma make some risotto, or lentils!

The Review part:

It's delicious. The meat is so tender, soft and tasty. This is the easiest and fastest recipe. Seriously, try it! It uses pork shoulder so even a student budget will stretch to this meal. And it's so filling. This recipe fed 2 just eating the meat and 3 buns each. With potatoes this would easily feed 4.
